STAAR is over! Now back to our regular scheduled programming... :)
We're wrapping up our historical fiction book club this week with our final meeting on Tuesday. To round out our studies on historical fiction, students will work in their groups to create a video presentation using Animoto.com to demonstrate their understanding of how the setting of their novels affected the characters and plot.
Class time will be provided for research and for compiling the video presentation starting this week, and continuing into next week. Ideally, students should not have to arrange for group time outside of class. Projects are due by the end of class on Thursday, May 8th, and we will have a video viewing day on Friday, May 9th.
Students and parents, please keep these dates in mind as plans are made for scheduled absences. This is a group project, and if group members are absent, the work becomes more difficult for those "left behind".
